2024 marks 10 seasons since the first generation of the Earhart, the goalkeeper glove designed for women following feedback from SP Soccer goalkeepers. Want to know everything that has happened in that time?
We are at a time when the commitment to women's sports is growing. And the result of this commitment is its growth, not only in terms of level and performance, but something much more important: there are more and more girls playing soccer at the grassroots level.
But just 10 years ago that bet was not so clear. The F League was still called Superliga and had a very important level of organizational amateurism. Rare was the grassroots club that had women's categories. No brand was betting on sponsoring the players and, much less, making them the material to measure.
In that context we were brave, we saw the opportunity and we dared to take the first step. With feedback from goalkeepers Sara Serrat (Sporting de Huelva), Esther Sullastres (Transportes Alcaine) and Sandra Paños (Levante UD) we developed a model that was adapted to their needs, both in terms of arming level, wristband diameter, finger size and size range. And so the first generation SP Earhart was born.
The name Earhart comes as a tribute to Amelia Earhart, a pioneer of American aviation, author among other milestones, of being the first woman to cross the Atlantic in an airplane piloted by her. Something that, fortunately, would not be news now, but it was in 1928 and helped to break down many barriers. There is a certain parallelism in that first female aviator and these first female goalkeepers who were breaking down walls to move from amateurism to the professional soccer we will enjoy in 2024.
Being pioneers at that time positioned us as the reference brand among soccer goalkeepers who, quickly, both at professional and amateur level, made SP Fútbol their reference brand.
And that meant a successful career for the brand in women's soccer. We review some of the recent milestones.

And also with 100% of the Spanish National Team goalkeeper using SP Soccer: Misa Rodriguez, Cata Coll and Enith Salon wore a special version of the SP Earhart decorated as aboriginal motifs in tribute to the culture of the host countries of the World Cup:
But the milestone we are most proud of is that, every time we watch a women's grassroots soccer game, it's hard to find one of the goalkeepers without an Earhart SP in her hands! That is the true legacy of the Earhart model.
